Welcome to The Pre-K 4’s Program

Children turning 4 years old by October 1

Our dynamic Pre-K 4’s program is designed for children turning four years old by October 1st. Our curriculum is uniquely designed and implemented to meet the learning styles of each individual child. Children are encouraged to engage in cooperative play with their peers and develop critical social and emotional acuity. The development of self-regulation, emotional expression, and strong friendship skills are an important goal of our program. Essential skills such as conflict resolution, entering new play situations, working and playing cooperatively with others, and a myriad of other abilities promote emotional intelligence, confidence, and competence in our students.

From literacy, science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) to music, foreign language, creative arts, and art history, children make connections and develop understanding under the guidance of talented educators who are attuned to each child’s learning style and who know just how to challenge each individual to extend their knowledge. Literacy and math are integrated across the curricula and emergent skills are reinforced, supported, and celebrated.

Every day in every classroom, children practice and build their character strengths, as they live and learn about core Jewish values. Through a multitude of opportunities, our children practice and explore mitzvot, tzedakah, welcoming guests, acts of loving kindness, and many paramount character strengths through a Jewish lens. Shabbat and Jewish holidays are celebrated with spirit. Children take their place as part of our community-wide effort toward “Tikkun Olam”, repairing our world.

B’nai Jeshurun is delighted to enroll our ECC families as members of TBJ as part of their tuition. Our clergy, staff, and leadership hope you feel embraced by our thriving community and, in turn, embrace all the opportunities TBJ creates to live and learn and to celebrate and flourish in our Synagogue and School.
