Lisa Duggan

Director of Development

Lisa Duggan is a non-profit leader and communications professional with over two decades of experience in both the corporate and non-profit sectors. Most recently, Lisa served as the Development and Communications Manager for MEND, a hunger relief network in Essex County, NJ. Lisa is the former Program Director and Interim Executive Director for GlassRoots, a Newark-based arts education organization. Prior to her work at GlassRoots, Lisa was the Director of Membership for In Good Company, the first co-working space dedicated to female entrepreneurs.

Lisa is also the founder and owner of American Woman Publishing, producer of The Modern Village, an online continuing education series dedicated to the social and emotional well-being of families, as well as The MotherHood Magazine, which was published from 2006-2008. In 2014 Lisa acted as the Associate Producer of Parents of the Revolution, a documentary about activist parents inside the Occupy Wall Street movement. Lisa’s prior career was in publishing, working for American Lawyer Media as Director of Production, in addition to other roles.

A life-long activist and agitator for civil and human rights, Lisa is also a writer and published poet. She lives in New Jersey with her husband, Michael Kasdan.
