The Rabbi Barry H. Greene Early Childhood Center at Temple B’nai Jeshurun provides the highest quality Early Childhood, Kindergarten, and After-School Programming in the tri-state area. With a philosophy and curricula that nurtures each child’s unique growth and development, TBJ’s mission is to foster a love of learning in every child. TBJ’s warm, welcoming and inclusive environment serves children ages 4 months through 6 years.
At all grade levels our curriculum is child-centered, multisensory, play and thematically based and integrates all domains, including social-emotional development, oral language, literacy, emergent writing, science, technology, engineering, art, mathematics, (STEAM), social studies, music, languages, and physical development.
Small group instruction, differentiated teaching, and a multi-sensory approach ensures that TBJ students develop an authentic feeling of pride in true accomplishment, a growth mindset, grit, determination to persist at challenging tasks, optimism, confidence, and a love of learning that will promote success now and in the future. TBJ is truly a thriving learning community in which all children flourish!
Through the celebration of Shabbat, the Jewish holidays, Tikkun Olam, and our connection to Israel, our children experience the beauty and joy of their Jewish culture, tradition and heritage.

Whether this is your child(ren)’s first school year at TBJ or your family has been with us for years, please know that you and your children have a home-away-from-home with us here in our ECC. The relationships and bonds that form within our doors and in the larger TBJ community, truly will transcend the early childhood years. We consider this precious time to be the foundation of what will hopefully be a lifetime of engagement in learning, curiosity, creativity, spirituality, friendship, kindness, gratitude, zest, and a love for others, life, and our planet.
We are proud that ECC Tuition includes membership at Temple B’nai Jeshurun. Our clergy, faculty, and leadership hope you feel embraced by our thriving community and, in turn, embrace all the opportunities TBJ creates to live and learn, celebrate and flourish, in our Synagogue and School. If your oldest child is enrolled in our Early Childhood Center, membership is included with your child(ren)’s tuition.
Our Early Arrival and Extended Day Programs provide support to families in need of a longer school day. Deposits are due at the time of enrollment. There is an option to pay by E-Check or Credit Card.
An ECC Initial Tuition Payment of $1,000 is due by March 31, 2023.
The balance can be paid in full by August 31, 2023 or you can set up a monthly payment plan from April 30, 2023 through December 31, 2023.
Both ECC Deposits and Initial Tuition Balance Payments are non-refundable and non-transferable to other “non-TBJ ECC” Temple programs.
A 20% Sibling Discount is credited to the younger sibling(s)’s tuition.
