Currently serving as the Israel’s 19th Permanent Representative to the United Nations, he is the only Israeli Ambassador ever to have served in this position twice, having held this position as Israel’s 17th Permanent Representative to the United Nations from 2015 to 2020. Ambassador Danon served as a senior member of Israel’s parliament, the Knesset, in the ruling Likud Party. With over twenty years of experience representing Israel, Ambassador Danon has developed a reputation as one of Israel’s most ardent defenders.
