Shared History, Shared Future: The Black-Jewish Community Relationship

In honor of Black History Month, please join us for a special Shabbat featuring Dr. David Jefferson Jr.

This speaker is sponsored in partnership with Jewish Federation of Greater Metrowest New Jersey, and by the Dreifus Family in Memory of their Aunt Esther Teidor.

Dr. Jefferson Jr. will speak during Shabbat services, followed by Shabbat dinner with a conversation between Dr. Jefferson and Rabbi Gewirtz.

Dr. Jefferson Jr. currently serves as Director at the Center for Africana Studies at Kean University, in Union, New Jersey. He is a professor of religion and philosophy, along with being an ordained minister, actor, filmmaker, public speaker and lecturer. Dr. Jefferson is a proud cum-laude graduate of the prestigious Morehouse College where he holds a Bachelor of Arts degree. He is also a proud inductee of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, Morehouse College Board of Preachers and Laity. In addition, Dr. Jefferson completed his Master of Divinity degree from Princeton Theological Seminary, in Princeton, New Jersey.
