Children’s Programming

Families with children age 2 through 5th Grade can register them for programming offered during Rosh Hashanah Morning and Yom Kippur Morning Services; registration is required for Childcare, Early Childhood Programming, Youth Programming, and Pre-Readers Services.

ROSH HASHANAH

    • Family Service: RH 9:00 AM – For families with children in Kindergarten and older. No registration required
    • Pre-Readers Service: RH 9:15 AM – For families with children in Kindergarten and younger. Bagels will be served starting at 8:45 AM.
    • Childcare:  RH Morning 10:00 AM – For children 3- and 4-years-old not enrolled in TBJ ECC, and all 2-year-olds
    • Early Childhood Programming: RH 10:00 AM – For students enrolled in our ECC Preschool 3’s and Pre-K 4’s
    • Youth Programming: RH Morning 10:00 AM – For children in Kindergarten through 5th grade
    • Family Apple Picking: Second Day of Rosh Hashanah, Sunday, September 13 at 11:00 AM at Riamede Farm

YOM KIPPUR:

    • Pre-Readers Service: YK 9:30 AM – For families with children in Kindergarten and younger
    • Family Service: YK 9:30 AM – For families with children in Kindergarten and older. No registration required
    • Childcare: YK 10:30 AM – For children 3- and 4-years-old not enrolled in TBJ ECC, and all 2-year-olds

High Holy Days Food Drives

We are accepting the following donations September 8-22

Grocery Card Drive for The Interfaith Food Pantry of the Oranges (IFPO): IFPO is a volunteer driven supplemental weekly food pantry serving over 700 food insecure residents of the Oranges.

  • Please donate ShopRite Gift Cards of any amount in the drop box located in the driveway circle.

Food Drive for Meeting Essential Needs with Dignity (MEND): MEND is a network of over 40 permanent and mobile food pantries in Essex County (including IFPO) that feed almost 500,000 people a year.

  • Please donate shelf stable milk or low sugar cereals in the TBJ lobby.

High Holy Days Ushers

We are looking for volunteers in our community to serve as ushers to help create a warm environment and ensure a smooth holiday experience.

Ushers are needed for the Sanctuary Services as well as our Pre-Readers and Family Services. It is a low time commitment and delivers high impact for our entire TBJ family. Please sign-up below to volunteer or learn more.
