Take Action: Urge Committee Members to Vote Yes on A3558

As we know all too well, antisemitism is on the rise across the country and here in New Jersey. It is critical that our state takes clear and proactive steps to define and combat this growing threat. The International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) working definition of antisemitism is an internationally recognized tool that helps identify and address Antisemitic acts and rhetoric in a consistent and informed way.

Bill A3558, which adopts the IHRA definition, is a crucial measure to ensure New Jersey has a clear framework for recognizing and responding to antisemitism. By advancing this bill, the state is taking an important stand against hate while affirming its commitment to civil rights and constitutional protections.

This Thursday, A3558 will be heard in the Assembly State and Local Government Committee. We are calling on advocates, allies, and community members to act now, either in person or by phone or email:

1. Attend the committee hearing this Thursday, July 24, 11:00 AM
at State House Annex, Committee Room 16, 4th Floor in Trenton. When you join us you can testify on behalf of the legislation, submit written testimony, or show up in solidarity with the community!
